In training we have seen a number of them. They don't have a great finnish or wood, but they WORK and work WELL. Commies don't make pretty guns but they work. No debate the metal is ordnance quality and they used the original blue prints for this gun and most other clones. I know they have the blueprints for the Winchester 94 and Model 70 but haven't seen them yet. The Winchester Model 97 clone is in the same catagory. If you like the concept and design of these guns they are a great deal. A friend took his Winchester 97 clone and put new wood on it and did his own reblue. Looks great and functions as well. We see them as very very "serviceable"...but they won't make a fashion statement. But they do WORK...you won't wear one out.

The Chinese/Winchester M-97 replicas - There has been much to be said about these in the past. No-one that replied had anything good to say about these arms. Do a search and you will find that these are pos
guns. I had one given to me nib-absolutely terrible metallurgy-broken
firing pins, extremely poor machined receivers, bad wood that cracked,
etc. Perhaps one of the worst arms manufactured. I cut mine to keep it out of becoming a liability. Believe "leeblackman" had the same terrible experience. Interstatearms was the importer originally. Sold their liability to SOG. Once listed retail at about $ 350.00. Now they have added a heat shield and swivels and call them replica trench
guns. Same dealer price at $ 350.00. I can not possibly believe that the other arms are of any better quality. 101
