cable (ladder) ties
at gunshows and elsewhere i have noticed that many
dealers and collectors use these ties to prevent the
firearms actions from being operated. i have researched
them and found a site that requires one to order 1000
at a time. is anyone familiar with these ties and would
possibly know where a lesser volume can be gotten.
thanks

Electrical supply stores like Radio Shack per 100 all different sizes 0 -
If we are thinking about the same things, you should be able to get them at most hardware stores or autopart stores. 0 -
No problem, your responder's have replied. Usually about ten bucks or
less per hundred, sometimes much less. Also known as tie wraps.0 -
If you rent a table at the show, the promoter usually provides them/some for you. 0 -
As 101 suggests, shop around. These things can be had pretty cheaply, and should - they can be produced for well less than a $0.01 each. If you have no luck locally, then take a look at some of the packaging suppliers; they carry them also. 0 -
I find them at Home Depot and Lowes in the electrical section. 0 -
I buy an assortment from Lowes to keep at my workbench. Really cheap. Overall.I use them to tie all kinds of things. 0 -
a/c supply houses usually sell them for less than 2 cents each in bulk, but sell in bags of 100 really cheap 0 -
The ties we use at the shows, are about 1/4" wide, and are not as hard as the ones you buy at a hardware store and have holes in it. If you ask at the gun show...Maybe you can buy them at the door.I know we buy about 10,000 at a time so we get them CHEAP! I think we sell them for $1.00 for 25.
It will hurt you, More than it will hurt me..

Thanks for all the help!0 -
another good use for them is for your deer tag, here in WI we have to tag the deer first thing after killing it , state provides the tag but no way to fasten it to the deer , just put the zip tie thru the tag and thru a ear or around the antler and you don't have to worry about your tag coming off 0 -
harbor freight has em in assorted sizes-1200 for$10.
barto
the hard stuff we do right away - the impossible takes a little longer0
