I have 3 of the Colt Pocket 9's... All are SS and the receiver and the slide, are the same color on all of them. Maybe it cam from Colt's Custom Shop? Or Maybe someone has put a PONY receiver on a Pocket 9 slide? I just got more mags off GB, for $40.00 each, NEW in the pack. And I have found some for $30.00 NEW. Best thing to do is Call Colt and ask about the different ...

One more thing.... in the photo's of #6160069, The last photo is of a Colt MUSTANG, Not a Colt Pony! The Colt Pony is a different gun, It has the same receiver as the Pocket 9, and was made in 380 and DA only.

When I said it was the same receiver,It is the SAME. BUT! the Pony has a differen size Mag well, And 1 less screw hole on the side for the grip..And is cut-out more. I have each in my hand now.... It's the same reciver.. Just a difference in how it's milled. Pony has less parts than the Pocket, thats do to the sights.. Pony has a milled front sight and the Pocket has a different sight on front and back, and the back has a locking screw. AND, the slides will not interchange, I just tried that... But maybe with some work, you could do it.

Thanks guys, I just thought it looked funny because the only two I've seen was SS. I have the Pony Pocket lite & Mustange Pocket lite, a blue & SS mustang. Been looking for the pocket nine for a year, don't see many here in Kentucky, seen one last year at a show, guess what enough money to buy that day, just my luck. I'll e-mail the seller and see what he says, thanks again. Weasel

The seller e-mailed me back and said that's the way it came, new in the box, nothing special about it.

Looks like Nunn has been outbid.

ItGoBang--You mine letting me know how much you paid for yours?

Yes, and I stopped. He said it came with one magazine, while I believe it was supplied with two.

It is a discontinued item. Last time I saw one for sale it was about $600.

I got a used 9 for $590.00 and a NEW in the box for $629.00 and a JUNK one... for $300.00 are were on GB and in the last 5 months. The new one came with only 1 mag, But I think NUNN is right about it came from the factory with 2, I have some old Colt ad's and it shows 2 mags with the new gun. I did pay $40.00 each for some on GB, but now I have found them a lot less.. The gun is good, I use it for my back-up and the wife has one. It does not have a BBL bushing like the 1911's, and each of the guns shoot's a lot different,Had to change the rear sight on the wife's, Just to hit the paper at 20'... And it does have a "snap trigger" After about 10 rds, you know you have been shooting! But I like the gun....

razerface---Sounds like you got a great deal. I've noticed the Pocket Lites have been selling over $600 here on Gunbroker.

yea,,I noticed. Internet pricing? All guns I investigate seem to be cheaper at ohio gun shows then on the net. I don't know if thats true of other states,,,pay for convenience on the net,,and bigger customer base I suppose.

what are you doing?! Shooting for windage? Turn the gun upright!
