Are 10/22 conversion pkg worth it?
I plan to have a 10/22 all upgraded into the Custom rifles that Magnum research or Vol or Clark sells. Are these rifles worth it? I mean definitely bull barrel and stock changes for sure...and maybe trigger or receiver....

i have a clark and a volquartsen they are awsome the vol. is my primary gun they both were worth the money to me for competition purposes i dave no regrets at all but keep the receiver or look in to rugers target 10/22 they are worht the money

Check out what it takes to buy one of the ready made 10/22 tricked out rifles. It might be a better set up than a put together frankenruger. Cutting tolerances is the key to performance and assembling a lot of drop- in ,will-fit parts is defeating that purpose.

I'd say it depends on what you're going to do with it ... I've got a 10/22 that I easily spent $650 on to trick out, Clark Barrel, Fajen stock, Vol trigger/hammer/firing pin, auto-bolt release, ext mag release, scope, floated barrel and bedded action ... heck, I even had the bolt jeweled ... which was kinda silly ... I mean yeah, it looks cool ... and its dang accurate ... but worth it for my shooting needs? ... NO ... would I do it again? yeah, probably.

As stated before, it depends what you want to do with it. Usually those high dollar barrels have match chambers that don't do well with non match ammo. If you want it for competition, target, and fly shooting, go for the Volq, Clark, Shillen, etc. If you want an all around plinker, go with a barrel that has a bentz chamber. The tolerance is not as tight as match. Green Mountain barrels are around $70 and Clerke, not Clark are not much more. 0
