Scope comparison
I'm looking for a new, quaility, long range scope for my ar-10. Does anyone know a web site or magizine that rates scopes or does anyone have any suggestions.

I'd take a close look at the discontinued 16x42 Super Sniper scopes (made by Tasco) currently being sold by SWFA for $300. (www.swfa.com)

I would go to the same site "Neal" suggested and look under Leupold.
No matter what you decide upon, I believe swfa has the best prices.
I did purchase a Leupold from them and the price could not be met. They will also negotiate...... 1010 -
Two other possibilities for comparison shopping are www.bearbasin.com and www.eagleoptics.com I have found both competative and 100% reliable. For my two cents worth, I would avoid Tasco, the company is out of business and there is no warrenty available on the remaining scopes. I like Burris but don't use high power optics. JustC has some experience with such scopes and has recommended the Simmons Atec. Worth a look. 0 -

Nobody mentioned Bausch and Lomb. This company makes a great scope and has a great reputation. They make several scopes the 10x40 target scope is pretty sweat and they also make a 6-24x40 with either the mil dot reticle or a 1/4 M.O.A. dot. these scopes have 95% light transmision at 550nm. They also have a warrenty that says if your not happy in the first year you own the scope they will fully refund your money. Call 1-800-423-3537 and ask them to send you some information. Check into Weaver v16 or v24 scope at NACTHEZ shooter supplies
for 229.00 to 259.00 I have a V16 love it.. Marlin .17v And I have 6.5-20x50mm WTC-18 Simmons they sale for 99.99 for SWFA awesome for money..On ar-15
I have Burris FullField 2 4.5-14x42mm on my .308 with b-plex new on ebay for 290.00.. Love it..great hunting/target scope with b-plex Look around deal to be had..0 -
I've bought 2 of the 20X Super Sniper scopes from SWFA and they are awsome ... fortunately everything I've heard about them has been good since Tasco is now defunct ... these were contracted to the US Navy and originally sold for over $800 several years ago.
