ruger mkII trigger pull help
I need to lighten the trigger pull on my ruger mkII, the newer style without the tang safety. Is it possible to lighten the pull to 3.5 pounds (now it breaks at 6 lbs) by just some creative smithing, or would I be better served to just get a new trigger like a timney. I was hoping to just be able to take it to a gunsmith if possible since I have already spent money getting it free-floated and bedded to help with accuracy. I'd rather not drop another c note on the gun for 2.5 lbs, but it is much too heavy now for acuracy. Its left handed 30.06 if that matters. I'm beginning to think I should have bought a REMINGTON !!!!!!! thanks

TRAPPER GUN INC. MAKES REPLACEMENT TRIGGER SPRING KITS FOR ABOUT $15, SEVERAL SPRINGS LET YOU PICK THE TRIGGER PULL YOU WANT. (810-776-7581). TUNE-UP KIT #RU-14 0 -
I have lightened many of the ruger triggers. Spring change will not do. Email me and I will tell you how I do it. gundoc@bedord.net 0 -
If you use the gun enough, spend the money and make the trigger the way you want it. My gunsmith charges $75 to do a trigger job. The overall improvement in shooting accuracy makes this worthwhile.
