SKS - Yugo gas shutoff

I have an opportunity to get a couple of Yugo SKS's (yes I know I already have one) at a discount because they have some problems. The gas system is not working and they are now like straight pull bolt action rifles. The problem is not with the tube or the piston, but with the shutoff button. The button is corroded and does not function properly. I'm told that there are no extra parts for the Yugo gas shutoff system. Does anyone know of any fixes or parts available?

  I got one that looked like new externally; the bore was pretty well gone--shiney, but no lands. Anyway, the gas cutoff button was stuck. I hosed the button area down periodically with WD-40 for a couple of days (whenever I'd think to do it--maybe 8-10 times) and tapped the button and the area around the button with a plastic mallet. Finally it let go and works o.k. now. Might work on yours.

  I ALSO HAVE ONE THAT CAME WITH A MAINSPRING THAT WAS WAY TO HEAVEY, REPLACED IT WITH A REM. 742 MAIN SPRING AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHAMP NOW.
