Brushed Chrome finish on Colt ?
Picked up a 1903 Colt, it has finish that looks like aluminum.
The gun is type 4 SS#4817xx. Is this a satin neckel? Parkerized?
or brushed chrome? The gun is in good shape with walnut grips and
I intend to shoot it. (.32ACP)saw one on gun broker that looks like
this one and they called brushed chrome...is this a redone finish?
and is it any good? Thanks in advance for your help.

This gun is in the wrong serial number range to have come from the factory "Parkerized." You can rule out that type of factory finish for this gun. You gun would have either come from the factory with a Blue finish and mostly likely, walnut grips, or a shiny Nickel finish with Pearl grips. That was the other finishes common to this gun during its manufacture.
If you have some sort of "Satin" finish on the gun now, it is more than likely something that has been applied to the gun after the factory finish, as there was only a "shiny nickel" or blue made.
Hope this helps.
