Bayonet

I am hoping someone can help me determine the origin of a bayonet I bought at an auction (said to be Nazi, but I doubt it). It has a half moon and star on the blade edge and a star on top of handle guard. The number 20255 is on side of handle guard and letters "AS FA" on end of handle. Can anyone help me find out information about it? Thanks in advance.

    concerning my earlier post about the same bayonet. I believe that indeed it is a 1938 turkish mauser baynet. how much would it cost.

    About All I can tell You is that all Turkish Bayonets are contract made in germany by either Weyersberg, Kirchbaum & Co., or Alex. Coppel & Company, both of Solingen...The Cresent Moon and Star are the Turkish Crest! As to which Model you have...? I'd have to either See it or have a complete and Total discription...as there were 3 or 4 different German made Bayonets used by the Turkish Military..even tho made for German Mauser Rifles,used by the Turks, there were a few design changes that the Turks used that would be only on thier Bayonets...If you could post a photo it would be of emmence help...

    Cap't kirk nailed it. It is turk and most of these aren't worth much, less than $10 for the most common models, but some odd ones are worth more.
