hey any one know any thing about a gun , an "ole" gun marker nitro-hinter??????

I've got an old nitro hunter single barrel shotgun that belonged to my grand daddy. It is stamped nitro hunter on the left side of the reciever group, with a rams head in between the nitro and hunter. Under this is trade mark reg'd. The only other markings is 12 gauge choke on the top of the barrel and the number A57980 behind the trigger guard. The gun was nickel plated and my daddy called it a cannon breach. The barrel is very thick at the chamber end. Thats all I know about a nitro hunter. gunsock

Inexpensive single... I believe Folsom, but it could be one of the other minor makers. A $35.00 gun on the market, but worth much more because of its history in your family.
