Recall on the 1076
There was a recall on the 1076, something about a problem that could possibly make the gun inoperable.
Now, I just bought a nice clean 1076, seems to have had some rounds through it (broken in but very nice condition) and no problems. I'm going to send it back to S&W for the recall work shortly, but they want the mags too, making me wonder exactly what the problem was and whether the mags have to be altered as well to thoroughly fix the problem. My reason, of course, is the worry that if I buy more mags in the future (which I will) do I have to worry about them not working in the gun for some strange reason, even after the recall?
And was this a rare problem they were fixing? Is there a chance that an un-repaired gun might never exhibit the problem?

As solid as the frame is on that gun I wouldnt think that would be the problem.Have you ever experienced any failures with the gun?I would take ATF's advice when you call to get your shipping invoice I would ask exactly what the problem is?Keep us posted,nice gun by the way.
