Super A (9mm Largo) What is it ?
Picked up a Star 9mm largo I thought it was a 9mm, What do I have?
Is this an 38 super? Model # SA. Book says it was a Spanish service
pistol. SS# B42652x. Can I shoot 9mm Para in this gun? Thanks...

9mm luger barrels are available for this gun. They are fairly cheap. About $25 at the local gun shows. 0 -
Thanks for the information...I used the blue book for my information
and looking again find that I came to a conclusion too quick. Checking everything I find that I have a model B, which is 9mm para
the largo has no magazine safety this one has. I feel much better now.
Thanks again0 -
the more common 9 mm around is the luger, which is 9x19 mm
your 9 largo ,or 9 long is 9x23 mm0 -
You can buy cheap largo ammo in the CCI Blazer format. 0 -
Many guns chambered for 9mm Largo will shoot .38ACP.....do not use .38 Super! Guns made for 9mm Largo were not designed to handle "Super" pressures. 0 -
If you drop in a 9mm barrel you'll want to narrow the magazine "lips" towards the front for reliable function. The regular 9mm is shorter and without modification you'll get stovepipes or an extra live round just flipping out onto the ground when firing. That's been my experience with two different guns changed over. Cheap fun shooters IMO.
