Blueing question on Win 1400 shotgun
An uncle left me an old Win model 1400 shotgun, that was used hard. The blueing on the back end (the part that hold the action) is worn badly. I was going to buy some blueing for it, but in looking at it closely it appears to have been painted? The barrel looks like it has the normal blueing.
Where these guns painted or are my eyes going bad.
If so where can I buy the paint to refinish it.
Thanks for any help

Receiver is aluminum and was originally anodized, Brownells sells a product called "Aluma-hyde" it is a paint process but is advertised as solvent proof, give it a try. 0
