colt Ar15 sporter competition Hbar

Just acquired this Ar15 would like to know what kind of scope is best suited for this style of gun, the value of the gun and the best ammo to use in it. This is a preban gun as it has the flash suppressor on it.

Thanks for any info in advance, and for all your votes we kicked their asses.

  Depending on the model and its condition, the range is $700 to $1400.

  69 and 75gr factory loads will group better, If it a 1:7 twist barrel, which I assume it is. If the gun is in 85-90%, I would say it is worth $900-$1000, or more for a 95% rifle.
  
  Hornady makes the heavy loads for it, as does federal in their premium line.
  
  A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.
