I'm looking for info on this auto 12g. I ran across this at a garage sale and am looking for a barrel, for the orig. one is bent. All info is appreciated.

  I have a 28" mod choke (plain-no rib) barrel for a 12 ga. 11-48
  and/or 48 sportsman. External condition 95%--bore is great.
  Barrel includes barrel bushing. Price $90 plus ship.

  There were 154,880 12 ga. sportsman 48's made from 1948 to 1959. One thing to be careful of is that there are different barrels thru the years and they are not interchangeable. The barrels are only interchangeable from serial number 3,033,000 up which are those made since January 1, 1951. If your receiver is in this range and you can find a barrel with a date code of 1951 or newer you are in luck.
