A few newbie questions about the AR-15
I'm looking to purchase an AR-15 rifle next spring as my first firearm, and I have a few questions. I'm currently considering a M4 style with a 16" barrel, as I was not comfortable with a full size M16.
1. What kind of accuracy differance could be expected between a 16" 20" barrel of equal quality?
2. I'm partial to the pre-ban adjustable telescoptic stock, can these usualy be mounted to any AR-15 lower?
3. Are there any common problems with the AR-15 that are worth noting?
4. Brands to avoid?
5. What are some good information sites on the AR-15 and M series rifles?
Any responce would be greatly apreciated, thanks

WWW.AR15.com is the definitive website for AR fanatics.
Folding stocks, bayonet lugs and flash hiders can only legally be used on preban models. There is a fixed stock that looks like a folder and would look right on your M4(gery)as they are called.
A 16" barrel can be as accurate as a 20" barrel but the 20" barrel will have greater muzzle velocity and effective range.0 -
