    I would expect it to sell in the $500-600 range. I prefer to keep old guns with honest wear just as they are; they have a certain amount of character.

    But, with this much wear, it has little collector value. Refinishing it would probably not decrease the value much, if at all. If that's what you want to do, don't worry about it.

    Just got a new copy of the Blue Book today. It lists your gun as made by Colt in 1916. Value is $375 (60% condition)to $2300 (100% condition) unless reworked: Parkerized and restamped with the arsenal initials.

    Check my posting above. How many lands and grooves does your barrel have? Thanks.

    The gun in the condition you described is probably worth 325 to 375.according to the gun blue book.
