Would appreciate any help on determinng value and vintage of this Colt Commander, .38 Super, slide marked Super Commander, serial number CSC5xx. Appears unfired, original wood grain style box and papers including request for history post card look to be dated around 1987. It is non enhanced, ring hammered, stainless with smooth black walnut grips.

    Thanks

I'm not showing any direct refer to a Super Commander. I ran into the same problem with a Ultimate Commander. Finally called Colt on their 800 number (1-800-962-COLT). After a few minutes of phone tag, a nice lady answered any and all questions about the gun. You might have to do the same.

Depends on demand in your area. I would say as little as $600 trade in value to a dealer, up to $1000 retail depending on details on the gun. (stainless, blue, polished appointments, enhanced model, ring hammer, spur hammer, etc.) I think right now a plane jane blue model is around $600, $850 for stainless enhanced.
