Loose mossberg barrell for shotgun
I have a mossberg 500 12 ga shotgun I want to put an red dot scope on. The problem is the barrell is loose and moves some, no matter how I tighten the nut. I thought about putting a slim piece of metal between the barrel and the inside of the frame, but I am not sure. I know these shotguns have an alloy frame. I would like to deer hunt with slugs. In Oklahoma you can only use slugs for deer, no 00. Any Ideas on how to tighten this gun up?

Try tightening/ screwing in the mag tube a little. 0 -
If the looseness of the barrel is not significant in the aspect of safety..Try one of the scope mounts that attaches to the receiver...I think B-Square makes one that is "no gunsmithing"...

Thanks, Gurn, Tightening up the mag tube did the trick. 0
