That is one of them ... I find it very ironic that the right side of the reciever has a US flag cast into it just above the trigger ... the most repressive state in the union and they get our symbol of freedom while being forced to use a 10 round fixed mag that you have to open up the weapon to reload it ...

I'm sure you could put other uppers on it, but you would have to shorten the follower and spring then and block the mag well to keep the cartriges from sliding around and jamming (for shorter rounds such as pistol caliburs) ... so feeding would be the only problem to over come. I've done it on a Mauser magwell to use the short action caliburs ... keep in mind too the mag well is fixed so the larger diam. the cartridges, the fewer will actually fit in the mag.
