ruger p 97's on the job

besides mas ayoob's dept., is anyone aware of another L E agency that issues the ruger P97 .45 ? Anyone carry their personally owned 97's for duty?

I know a few armored car guards and security guards who carry them.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

I am aware of some small agency's that carry the P-97 .45.But no State or Federal Agency's.I feel the gun is more than suitable for Duty use.

Doesn't Ayoob's agency carry P90 Rugers instead of P97 Rugers? (Or did they trade recently?) Knowing how much Ayoob favors an active safety, I doubt that the P97, which is not available with anything but a dedcocker or DAO, would find favor with him.

Massad Ayoob recently wrote an article about the Pistols.He gave them both a thumbs up,but I thik he favored the P90 over the P 97 .45acp.

Ayoobs dept has only a half dozen officers. Population is about 1300 or so last time I looked. he get a new reserve officer job?
