Any opinions on the Trijicon ACOG for general shooting? greg

have the opportunity to buy a trijicon acog nsn 4x32 for $650...its new in box, with tenebraeux killflash filter and band, and arms throw lever mount...it was mounted on a rifle, as a choice of optics for a local PD but then another optic was chosen...is this a good buy? is the scope anygood?

For general shooting, it is an expensive toy.

For military or police applications, it is the finest you can buy, bar none. Designed for M16-type applications, it is accurate and versatile under all light conditions.

However, military and police users don't care that it is REALLY expensive, or that the half-life of tritium is 9 years and that it probably needs replacement well before that. I keep guns & accessories too long to fool with replacing radioactive isotopes every few years.
