Should I bother getting a FFL
I have a C&R license now but I do collect alot of guns. Most of what I collect isn't c&r yet. My question is should I just get my FFL and if I do will I have any problems with the fact I am not going to sell any guns, I just don't want to pay the transfer fee any more that adds up to more than what the FFL license cost to renew. Or will it be more a headache when it comes time for the BATF to do a inspection? Any suggestions anybody?

Yes, you will have problems. A FFL is only meant for a dealer actively engaged in selling firearms for a profit, not collecting. There are many other hoops, including local zoning ordinances.
More knowledgable folk will be able to give you more detail, but, yes, you will have problems if you try to use it for collecting, not selling.0
