Timney trigers ??

are they any good ect ect...let hear it the good the bad and the ugly.
also how much do they sell for?..this is for a winchester mod 70

  Timney triggers are great. I have one on a model 700 and love it. I paid around 80 bucks for mine. well worth the money.

  The M70 trigger is one of the best factory triggers around. What is it you don't like about it? I have timneys on a Ruger M77 and a military mauser for obvious reasons, but my M70 has a fine trigger after minor adjustments were made.

  FLtexan nothing wrong with any of my mod 70 just wondering if the timney trigger is better i guess. i agree about the ruger m77 as not good.. my brother has a m77 that has a terrible trigger.

  cowdoc, the M77 Ruger 35 Whelen I have, had atleast a 6lb trigger from the factory. After a little surgery the Timney has made the Whelen a pleasure to shoot. I have seen two other M77s the same way. I wouldn't have a trigger that tight. I understand the liability issue has brought about this unfortunate characteristic.

  I have built several custom mauser rifles and I put timney delux fethearweight triggers on all of them. I even use them on model 96 mausers, but I don't use the delux , I use the sportsman. They adjust out great. You cant go wrong with them on any rifle. They can be purchased form several supply houses . I generaly get mine from Brownell's or Midway.

  An excellent product..I have them in ruger 77s and a Husqvarna (Swed. Mauser)..

  They are a great investment for the money. I am planning on strapping one on a 30/06 M77 MKII.
  
  Depending on how accurate the rifle is, i.e. less than moa, you may want to look at the jewell triggers

  I put a timney in my 243 77 mkII wow... I don't feel comfortable letting anyone else shoot it. It breaks so well, and so light.

  I got the trigger bought on auction for 60.00 plus shipping. now I just need to get to town to get money order and send it.
  Justc the rifle I am planing on put the trigger on is a rifle that I had rebarreled with hart fluted SS match barrel in 300 win mag. I have only shot it one time since i have gotten it back, it will shoot .452 three shot group I posted while back that measured it at .46something but measured wrong, I didnt measure outside of hole to outside and subtract bullet dia. when I measure it the right way it come to .452. pretty good for shooting off of my pickup in not the best of conditions. cold and windy and with factory loads.
  Getting ready for next year as they have a comp shoot near me..maybe will goto and see if i get my rear end handed back to me by the big boys :-) this shoot is west of Ft Pierre SD may some of you have been to it?
