Hi-Power clone FEG
I have been looking at a Feg PJK 9mm for $200.00. Are these worth owning? It is used but in excellent shape. What is a good price and is this a good copy?

Friend of mine had one and wasn't too happy with it. His didn't take the
Browning mags and had other problems. Right now I'm seeing the real P-35 clones wholesale closeout for under $300. That would be way better in terms of mags and add-ons.

They are not a well built gun tolerance wise, but the metal seems OK. Fair accuracy, but nothing special. There is a used blue model accross the street from me with a $219 tag on it. He will let it go for $169. Hope this helps.

There are many FEG variations that are a true clone to some similar with modifications that keep parts from interchanging. The true clones take Hi cap mags and will interchange part for part with a Browning. I have the true clone and it has been an excellent value. Accurate, very high quality blued finish, reliable and has held up as well as any more expensive gun.FEG is an old firm and has a proud history. Mine was $250 new with a hi cap mag. Several years ago I had the dubious honor of seeing what the FEG Hi-power clone looked like after the bbl separated from the chamber. No the bbl is not one machined piece the bore is/was held in place by sweating w/silver solder.
KBI (the importer) was considerably less than enthusiastic about admitting to any problem with the gun. They only replaced the ruined gun after threat of lawsuit. That was after 3 months of arguement!!

We used to sell these and the only problem we ever had was one that locked shut. I never was impressed with either the quality or the features of the weapon, but for less than $200, it was a cheap alternative. I get the feeling they used the HP designation to ride on Browning's success. 0 -
ONE gun isn't a trend. let's get down to the FACTS. FEG is a major gun maker. If you do some research you find folks PRAISING the Mauser HP clones a few years back. Surprise Surprise. FEG made them.
FEG is an old time maker. Their clone guns will use Browning mags and that includes the $15 variety. I have two of the clones and they perform as well as any other Browning I've owned. The FEG .40 S&W clone made for Lithuanian Police is now on the market and a great gun. Most of the KBI FEG clones for for about $225 dealer price.
Seems everyone has left out the fact many Brownings get returned or have problems. Some of the military guns are refinished, pitted and pretty rough compared to an FEG. It may shock a few but the FBI just ordered several hundred ARCUS HP clones that are double action in 9mm for use in "northern areas." ARCUS is a major Bulgarian firm.
It may be trendy to bash various foreign guns, but FEG has a long history dating back decades in making guns.
Interarms has also imported a lot of FEG guns. Not long ago a number of HP clones from Israel were imported under the Kareen brand. Very affordable they seemed to sell out quickly. Guess who made the parts? Yup FEG. The Kareen got high reviews.0 -
Agree with Darrell 100% ,I have a FEG Browning Hi-Power clone it is one of the better shooting guns I own .I have had it at least 5 yrs.I installed a adjustable sight made for the Browning & a .41 Action express conversion kit also made for the Browning,works great !

Bravo Darrell, the average American Joe really has no clue as to the quality of european firearms manufacturing. Much simpler to bash anything that is not American or to discredit a manufacturer that has let a lemon or two slip by. I have owned several crappy firearms and surprise, surprise, some of them had American names on them.

I used to own a FEG PJK-9HP. It shot VERY well and was incredibly accurate for the price. I paid around $200 NIB. The magazine that comes with the gun is JUNK. Since Mec-Gar makes Browning's magazines for them, I saved a few bucks and bought Mec-Gar Browning HP magazines for it. The functioned flawlessly. It isn't a pretty gun but it shot incredibly well with everything I fed it. Double-taps landed very close to one another on paper. The only problem I had was that the hammer tended to bite me. I sold it and the new owner had a different hammer installed and now shoots it with no problems.
These WILL accept Browning HP magazines.0
