Don't mess with it!!!!! These sell for premuim. If you don't like it sell it. They bring around $500.00 in nice shape. Now days they are collector items.

Don't mess with that ugly little bugger! No matter what it looks like it's valued far more than its worth. Use the $500.00 you turn on that little gun and pick up one of the older Red Label's with stunning wood and beautiful checkering. I think you'll find their values to be on an upward swing as the years pass.

One more point of interest. I'm not an expert, just a novice collector. I have been following the 311's for around nine years. In that time the 12,16 and 20's seen an increase of around 30% in value, the 410's seen an increase of around 60%. Just one more reason not to mess with it and maybe just keep the gun. I don't know what you paid, but it sound like you probably got a package deal at a good price. You don't know how lucky you are. I've looking for a good deal on one for a long time. I hope it grows on you like they did for me. I think this one is a keeper.

If you really like that little .410 and yes they did have ugly
wood stocks, save the originals and buy some replacents. Boyds
carries them. Again, save the original stocks.

Thankyou for the reply's everyone. Mr Martzk you are right you just don't stumble across the 410's anymore and I see less and less of the twelves and twentys. And I look at a lot of guns. I also have the savage fox version in 410 with the vent rib and ejectors. which I bought in the mid to late eighities new in the box and I've never fired it. I believe it's the BSE THANKYOU beltfed
