Winchester Lever gun

Hello

I just received a 1892 Winchester SRC. Its a great gun, but was reblued a long time ago. The blue job (actually kind of black) is very even but kind of "thick". Any ideas on how I can knock this down some, or should I just leave it alone?

  If it were mine I would leave it alone and just enjoy it as a shooter. The fact that it has already been reblued has ruined any collector value.
