Wipala, HERTERSPECIALST@aol.com should be about to give you the skinny on this reloader. I can tell you that Herter's was in business from late 1890's as a family business until late 70's or early 80's. The business has resurfaced (name sold I think) recently selling mostly waterfowler supplies. Herter's was the Cabela's of the 1950's thru the mid '70's and sold some great hunting/fishing/camping/taxadermy/fly tying/gunsmithing/and about everything else from knives to traps. This realoader will have been made for them by one of the manufacturer's and is likley to be of good quality for its time. Herterspecialist is probably the authority on Herter's products which are beginning to be a little collectable with guy's like you and I, if not rich guys I have a couple of cataglogs from the late 60's for researching a Herter's rifle I have, so if there are model numbers on your reloader, I may be able to give you some catalog info if it was made during the years I have. . Hope this helps you.
