New guns

I got a .300 remington ultra mag and was woundering if anyone had one. I have the 26inch barrel. I was woundering what scope is good to put on it. I was thinking of a 4x12 from nikon monarch series. I also have a 50cal desert eagle. I am shoting the new glod dot ammo from speer. It keeps on jaming. Is it because it new or maybe I should use another ammmo! I am thinking it is because i am letting up on the gun when i firer it so there is no pivot point so it can eject the shell. Let me know. Anyone can answer.
