Glock interchangablity ?

Have a glock 26, and have a chance to get an upper for a 27. Would this work? the 40cal is higher pressures, but wouldn't the frames be abou the same?

  A few years ago someone posted a print on a Glock website, giving location and size of an additional hole to drill and pin through frame and steel insert. This would make 9mm and 40S&W frames identical. The mod was intended for the G17 and 19 which were earlier pistols. It's possible Glock has since updated later 9mms with the additional cross pin reinforcement. You would have to compare your 26 frame with a 40 to see.

  The Glock 9mm frames do not have the reinforcing that.40 frames do. Accordingly it would be unwise, if not downright dangerous, to interchange these I believe.
