Ruger 22 MKII Bull Barrel ?'s
I have a 5.5" SS Ruger MKII Bull Barrel Target Model, I also have a 6 7/8" SS Slabside Model, and a Browning Buckmark Target Model. I have an opportunity to get a Ruger 10" Blue Bull for a good price.
How much more accurate can the 10" be over the 6 7/8", and 5.5" I'm sure the guns are more accurate than I can be, so what would be the point? I usually take the 5.5" for general plinking and fun, I use the slabside for shrinking the groups, I guess I can use the 10" for bench or rest shooting, optics, hunting?

I'd say the 10" would be a choice for hunting depending on your state's regulations and all. If it's a real good deal, you can send it off to get customized if you are into that. There was a bull barrel Ruger sitting in the case the day I went for my Model 41. Would have grabbed it but you have to know your wallet's limitations

It was offered to my by a friend for $275. It has a Volquartson trigger and rear peep sight. 0 -
Actually I would shoot better with 51/2 in.barrel.The 22/45 is a great gun especialy if you like the 1911,because it feels more like shooting the 1911.Mine has a 51/2 bull barrel.Buy I also like my standard MKII as well.Maybe you should hold them both and see which one fits your hand best.Either way you cant go wrong.

THE 10 IN. BARREL WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE IF YOU COMPETED IN METALIC SILHOUETTE. THE ADVANTAGE BEING THE LONGER SIGHT RADIUS. THIS BECOMES IMPORTANT IN SOLHOUETTE SHOOTING, BECAUSE YOU ARE SHOOTING TARGETS (ANIMAL SILHOUETTES) OUT TO 100 YARDS. JUST MY $0.02. 0 -

Which one do you like better? I've got a Browning Buckmark 5.5 target. I love the feel of it, but am now having trouble with it jamming or not locking open after last spent shell. Have you had similar problems? I assume it its due to me using cheap .22's and it is just needing cleaned sooner (like every 4 or 5 clip fulls),

I bought it for $275. It came with two sets of grips, two mags, ruger case, rear apeture sights, and a Volquartson trigger; the gun is only a month old.
Buckmark: I would have to say that I like the Rugers better. I'm sure the buckmark is just as good, but I always grab for the Ruger before the Buckmark. I have not had the problems you are talking about. The Buckmark is accurate and reliable, the only thing that I need to get used to is how the gun feels on the last shot.0
