    Hi WT:

I have a 4" nickel 25-5 that is absolutely one of my favorite revolvers. That huge hole in the end of the barrel has got to be intimidating when viewed head-on. It is accurate and the felt recoil is less than my 4" 686. Love to carry it when concealment is not the issue.

Just a note, the 25-5 is not intended for use with the hotter loads now available in .45 LC; stick with standard factory loads. The .45 LC case has tremendous capacity, and in the right gun you can get performance similar to .44 Mag, but DON'T try it in the 25-5. It was not designed or intended to shoot those higher-pressure loads.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to know a little about the
revolver. I aquired it through a money issue between a gun shop
and an in law-I paid the gun shop off.
    Thanks again,
    Paul

wt101: I HAVE A MATCHED SET OF NEW SERVICE COLT'S. 45 COLT CART. FACTORY NICKEL WITH WHITE PEARLITE GRIPS. I FOUND THAT I HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL THAT I DON'T GET A 44 MAGNUM MIXED IN WITH THE 45 COLT. TRY IT! A 44MAG WILL FIT RIGHT INTO THE CYLINDER. YOUR NEW NICKNAME WILL BE LEFTY!
