Value of Beretta 92 Competition Package??
I saw something at a Gun Show, that I think I "need".
What would it be worth?
Competition package for Beretta 92, 9mm.
Complete with Beretta marked factory blue laggage case (11" x 19") with combination lock and foam interior compartments (for gun, 2 mags, comp. barrel and cleaning kit).
7 1/4" Competition Slide/Barrel complete.
Slide has Target front sight and target rear sight is in case.
Factory Beretta target 92 grips.
Cleaning kit and screwdriver.
All is new and never fired.
Any ideas?

Spring Creek, These are nice set ups. Many years ago I spent a small fortune to purchase an original Italian 92F competition pistol which came with all the extras you mention plus a Standard slide and barrel assembly with stock plastic grips so that you could do a reverese conversion and make a standard pistol. It is a great pistol and very accurate.
Your conversion kit was offered for sale from the early 1990's up until around 1998. There were quite a few distributors selling them, Kiessler's comes to my mind and I purchased one for a customer. I believe they units were selling for $395 at the time- a little less when sold without the very nice case. There was also a "target" 5-1/2" conversion availabe that had the shorter barrel along with the other items. These were not too popular.
It is no great challenge to install the kit- you do not need to visit a gunsmith. Installing the rear target sight on your old frame is the hardest part as those Beretta rear sights don't like to come out of their dove tail without a struggle! There should be an aluminum block included with the tools. This is the exact size of the frames dove tail. Rest the block against the right side of the old rear sight and HAMMER IT. It drifts out to the left. Installing the target sight is the reverse and much easier. I have no idea what one of these untis is worth today but my customers conversion works as well as my factory unit. He spent a LOT LESS money to convert his US made 92FS
than I did to purchase the Italian, complete pistol. Hope this helps.
