thank you hedog for the reply. no there is no modle # on it anywhere. i did find one up for auction right now and the bid was at 70 dollars and reserve was not met yet. i only paid 50 dolars for it about 15 years ago. it just sits in the cabinet. i did use it when i first got it and it shot good. i was just currious about it. thanks again for the info.

I checked a cross over list and did find one Hercules listed. I am not even sure it is a shotgun, but it is shown as a Hercules 50 and is the same as a Stevens model 5100. You could take a look at the Gun Parts Corp. listings and see if it looks like your gun. I think that is www.gunpartscorp.com
