    Can anyone tell me the actual differences between these two? I want a Bushmaster Shorty (postban)(w/heavy barrel) and i found one for a decent price online but i just came back from a gun show where i saw the Olympic Arms version for over $100 dollars less. Honestly i couldn't tell the difference just by looking at them, other then the logo of course.
    Considering the fact that i will only be using it for fun and at a range under 250 yards, I don't want a really expensive one, but i don't want junk either. Which direction should i go?

    I believe Bushmaster to be of slightly higher quality, but Olympic is a good gun and should do what you want very well. I have sold several Olys, and the customers like them. Some of my Oly purchasers have been law enforcement personnel.

    I have one of the Oly 16" heavy barrel rifles and have had excellent accuracy with common battlepack fmj ammo.

    i currently own a olympic arms shorty and have never had a jam or malfunction of any kind. at 50 yards i get 1- 1 1/2 inch groups with plain jane sellier and bellot 55gr and at 100 yards i get 2-3 inch groups (iron sights) great guns in my opinion. brother has a bushmaster and performance is about the same, although his is more finicky about magazines than mine. for the money the olympic is tough to beat. hope this helps

    I have both... and would love it if someone took my Oly off my hands. It came with the receiver slightly off/bent, and got worse from there. When I shipped to have it corrected... I had a hell of a time with their people.

    I had a Bushy A3M4, and it was worth every penny more.

    IMHO I really believe in the Bushmaster.There both good guns.But I believe if you buy the Bushmaster,you will like it so much you wont wonder which one you should have bought.But I would also trust the Olympic and I like its lifetime warranty??DIablo I like the Pics.

    Thanks everyone.... I believe i will be going the route of Olympic. My reason.... basically for the same reason i bought a Sanyo TV vs. a Sony TV.... basic same components.... get almost the exact same result....just paying $150 bucks for a better name.

    You might want to consider the fact that buying the Bushmaster will really piss off Sarah and Josh. Bushmaster will undoubtedly be taking a bunch of heat from the antis over the Beltway murderer. It would be worth the extra $100 to me just to write them after and tell them I did it out of spite!
