The $1.40/$100.00 was a much better rate than I could get ridering my homeowner's policy. No nosy questions with the NRA policy unlike many homeowner riders. My agent was real cool and said he wouldn't answer the questions in order to get the coverage, either.

Check out Safeco homeowner's insurance. Last year, Safeco changed their "items included for coverage" to include firearms. In previous years, I had to purchase a rider to insure my collection. Now, firearms are covered as any other personal property items. The only drawback that I could discover is that any claim would be subject to the deductible clause of the policy.

Contact Collectibles Insurance of Westminister, MD. $20,000 value for $80/yr. Replacement value that YOU assign. (Be reasonable) Make and model only. No deductable. Not a home owners rider. Stand alone policy. Here's the data. Have I ever collected? NOT YET! thank goodness.
