Scope help
i just bought THE USA SHOOTING TEAM SPECIAL EDITION RUGER 10/22 RACE RIFLE and in the pics on here there is is a scope on it it looks like a leoplod dose any one know what kind of scope it is and what model

I bought a nice Remington 700 BDL .308 last week.It had a Tasco wWorld class scope.The part of the elevation screw that the screw is in and the cap goes on is broken but the scope is fine.I called the manuf today and they have no parts as they bought out Tasco in 2002.Can anyone help me find one or an old scope to salvage parts off of. Real quick answer, Fire a group (5 shots) at 100yd while holding the crosshair on the center of the bullseye (don't worry about where the group is, yet). Determine where the center of the group is, and measure from there to the center of the bull. Turn the adjusters 1 click, in the direction indicated by the arrow, for each quarter (1/4) of a inch you want to move the group.
Example: the group is 2" left and 1/2 inch high, than you would go 8 clicks "right" and 2 clicks "down".
If your working at 50 yards than each click is 1/8" and at 200yd 1 click is worth 1/2 inch.
1 MOA (4 clicks on your scope) is an angle that's equil to 1.014" at 100yd (calling it a even inch per 100yd is close enough for most people/ranges).
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
And if your not even hitting the target at all, try boresighting by looking through barrel at bulleye and bringing crosshairs on bullseye. This should get you close enough to put lead close to the bullseye. 0 -

I have found having a spotter help is the best way. Tell your friend what you are shooting at, and he will tell you where it hit. You adust for each shot, and continue untill your there.

Start at 25 yards. you will have to use four time tha amount of clicks. When the group is withen 2" of the aming point go to 100 yards.

The only problem with chasing the shot is when the rifle/ammo combo is only capable of 3-6 inch groups (I've seen it more than once). That's why I suggested a 5 shot group to start with. If you know from past experance that the rifle/ammo combo will shoot tight groups than you can drop down to 3 round groups or even 1 shot/adjustment if your combo is proven sub-MOA (every group fired, not just once in a blue moon if you hold your teeth just right while wearing your lucky socks)
