ballistic tips
How well do ballistic tipped bullets work on medium game like hogs and deer. I heard that Winchester ballistic tips shoot pretty good in 7mm mag.

I just bought a 7.82 Warbird (something different) I've been loading to get the best groups, after trails and tribulations, settled on a 150 gr. ballistic tip. My question, at about 3,700 FPS will the ballistic tip perform adequately on things like whitetail? Or should I be trying to get a soft point to shoot? 0 -
I know they make alot of centerfire .22 caliber stuff in balistic tip, but I don't think there is any rimfire stuff. I'm not certain though.
Is that what you are talking about, rimfire?

I think Remington just recently brought out a 22 Mag loaded with either a 30 or 33 grain BT. GHD 0 -
I haven't seen .22 with ballistic tips
But yes - Remington have made a variant with Boat-Tail bullet.
It is the .22Win.Mag. Premier, with the 33gr "V-MaxT Boat Tail"-bullet.
As they wrote : (quote)
With much anticipation Premierr .22 Win. Mag returns to Remington's line of rimfire ammunition. Featuring a 33-grain Hornady V-MaxT boat-tail bullet for better aerodynamics and subsequent accuracy, the Premier .22 Win. Mag. offers rapid expansion and maximum terminal performance--perfect for extended range shooting.

Could be fun to try out =o)

Don't do anything that I've allready done - That'd be just plain STOOOOOOPID.0 -
The Remington V-Max 22wmr is very accurate, I regularly drop rabbits out to about 100yds with them. Tightest grouping I can get out of my Marlin bolt action. 0
