old ammo $$

I have a few boxes of 12 gauge shells and was wondering what they are worth if anything. They are Holiday 12 gauge box of 25 with picture of grouse on one side and a rabbit on the other(pictures are done by Les Kouba). The shell is blue copper base,lead shot,paper wads,wax bore cleaner.
I dont really know what to do with these. I also have some older winchester and Federal paper shells.

  I just saw a box of Holidays on auction with a bid of $24. I would say that is close to market value. There is always someone looking for the older ammo,myself included. If the boxes are very nice, and full you might be able to get $30 a box.

  95dually, these will bring a slight premium to current production, depending on the condition. Holiday was a store brand from some Midwestern chain outfit. In excellent to mint conditon, the $25 - $30 noted above is reasonable. The value of your other shells will vary mightily with the loading, box & conditon.
