WWIIVet, what you have there is a relatively common box from the period between the two World Wars (and thank you for your service, sir!). Unless I'm missing a critical detail, and I don't believe I am, if you were to go back to those same tables two years from now, the boxes to which you refer would still be there . . . and will be buried with the exhibitor. An absolutely gem mint pre-WWI box of military '06 ammo, maybe, maybe will go that high. As one of my mentors in the cartridge game was wont to comment when he saw such things . . . "Any damn fool can write a price tag." Lacking a scan or picture, I'm hesitant to price this definitively, but from your description, I believe I would have a smile if I got $40 out of it and I would bet my life it is a sub-$100 item.

Yea, its that everythings old is worth a fortune syndrome. Stick it on GB and see what happens. Honestly, I wouldn't know how much its worth, but I wouldn't pay no $160 for it.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

The sound of a 12 gauge pump clears a house fatser than Rosie O eats a Big Mac !
