MARKSMAN air pistol model mp

I feel awkward asking the worth of this plinker that I've got, but the box looks like it's from the fiftys.This little pistol is in perfect condition and is still in it's origial case. I've got several firearms, but am curious if one could give some history and worth of what looks like one of the first so called air pistols.
