Browning Automatic 5

Perhaps the premier auto shotgun in the world, but you forgot to mention little things like gauge and options. So...

    12, 16, 20 ??? Vent rib, raised rib, matted barrel ??? What?

Now then... A Plain Jane Belgian 12ga. in new condition will top $650.00 in some markets. A Sweet 16 will hover in the $1000.00 area if in new condition and a Light 20 somewhere in between.

I don[t know about other areas, but when I was in Seattle three or four weeks ago, one gunshop had several Auto 5's at prices much lower than I would have expected, including a 16, granted not nearly new condition, for under $300 if I remember correctly. It made me feel a bit less regret that my father sold his Auto 5 sixteen-gauge for eighty bucks many years ago while I was working overseas.

Tom, This is a great gun but don't shoot steel shot in the Belgium barrel - get a JAP. Also in Ohio your looking at about $600.00 for it. Personally I'd keep it. Great for shooting dove, turkey and other birds. Mine patterns well with full choke.

Tom, if the blueing is excellent, $600-700 sounds right. If it is Blonde (Maple wood) you may get more.
