Springfield Arms 1911 milspec

Is the Springfield Arms full sized 1911 milspec made in the USA? If not, where is it made.

  I know some of the Springfield Armory recievers are made in Brazil.

  I think you'd actually have to look at the gun. Some SAs are made in Brazil. This really shouldn't matter too much if it's made well. If it's not, then it isn't worth buying.

  The Majority is made in the USA,some of the first ones released had slides that were made in Brazil.But the quality is the same,its possible now to get some with imported parts.It depends on supply and demand.Either way you cant go wrong.

  I have a S.A. 1911A1 Trophy Match that I won at a match a few years ago. It seems to be mil spec as it is exactly like the Colt I have except it has Bomar target sights and a Clark barrel. Iam not sure where the reciever was made, but if it was made outside the U.S. they did an excellent job. The gun is as good as any 1911 I have seen.

  I thought all SA had their parts made and assembled outside the U.S. and then checked at the SA factory in the U.S. before being sold.
