"PARKHURST" combination gun
Can anyone give me any information (value, quality, when made, etc.) on this side by side cobmination rifle/shotgun ? It is Belgium made with external hammers. Left barrel is 12 ga., right barrel apparently 38/55 (I can't see any caliber markings but the owner has been shooting 38/55s in it, as did his father before him). It is marked "W PARKHURST" on the left lock, "MACHINE MADE" on the right lock, and "NEW ROLLED STEEL" on the rib.

Belguim MADE, Turn of the century 1895 to 1920...Sold thru Hardware Stores and Mail Order Houses..In Good Shooting Condition, Is worth $250.00/$300.00 depending upon desirabilty and the Area..Rooled Steel is Still Damascus Barrels anyway you spell it!...I'd suggest that if you wish to shoot thuis Gun to have it checked by a Good Gunsmith...Load the Rifle Cartridge with Black Powder and Use LOW BASE Shotgun Shells in the Shotgun Side.....Best.....
