Need Info on ? new shotgun
I have an opportunity to purchase a NIB Charles Daly O/U Field Hunter II AE-MC in 12 ga. for $700. First of all does anyone have any experience with this gun and what is the quality and secondly is this a good price. Thanks in advance. I will be using it for upland game hunting.

The Charles Daly name (he was, by the way, a real person) has bounced around the gun business for over 130 years and has always been attached to fine quality shotguns- German, Japanese, Spanish, and Italian made. The brand was sold by a number of firms in the 1990's but has since found a home with KBI Inc.. Your Field Hunter AE-MC, which means automatic ejectors-multiple chokes retails for $1000 so $700 sounds like a good price to me. I don't have a Daly dealer price list so I can't give you dealer price, but 30% off retail is damned fine regaurdless. Shotguns, more than any other firearm, require a good fit to their owner. If the Daly fits you well and you like the looks and the feel of the gun I would say buy it.
