Chineese Wall Gun
Who knows anything about a Chineese Wall Gun? I'ts about a .50 caliber and sits on a pod to shoot. Friend is thinking of buying it for $1500.00. Very long barrel.

Lot of Phony Chinese Cannons out there..The Moat Gun of which you speak has been copied for years by many Copycats and unsavory Dealers...Unless your friend can absolutley be guarenteed that this Gun is Original and has substantiating Proof, I say stay away from it..I grant that an Original several hundred year old Moat gun is worth the money....But only if it can be proved to truly be as claimed...

I wouldn't have brought this up, beings as we are thinking "cannon".
But, I am having trouble accepting a smallish 50 cal. muzzle loading cannon size taking on responsibilities of wall defense.
Lets try this. There was a bolt action, 2 - man Chineese Jengel of 60 cal. I believe primarily used for wall cutting offense. Used around early 1900???? (would have to research this again to be sure)
Cartridge collectors can tell you about this as it is a highly coveted coll. ctg.
So, I am first wondering if the description is accurate as to what it is, and if it is really wall mounted, and,...is it muzzle loading?
