I was told if you sight your rifle in with one type of bullet it would not be on for another type? Say I sighted it in with 130gr will it be on if I shoot 150gr or higher?

The only ammunition that will shoot the same is the brand and weight you sighted in with. ALL other ammunition regaurdless of weight will shoot diffrently. The 150s you say you want to shoot could be a foot low and 1 foot to the right, its hard to tell untill you shoot them.
It could be close, and very well maybe at 100 yds, but its had to tell what will happen at 200 and out... If you are going to sight your gun in use the same bullets you plan on using for hunting or what ever you plan on using it for.

I wouldn't think the trajectory within the 100 to 150 yard mark would differ conciderably. Out beyond that it may.

I SHOT 130 GR SEIRRA BOAT TAIL IN MY 270 WIN.SWITCHED TO NOSLER 130GR PARTITION AND THEY SHOT 4" TO THE LEFT. 0 -
75 or 80gr Remington hits about the same in my 243, the 75 groups tighter at 200 yrds. That's what I sighted in with. Winchester ammo always hits about 5" low at 100 yrds. 0 -
