How can one determine if antique revolver grips are ivory or bone?

  IVORY has Concentric Rings like a Tree...Bone does'nt..Old Ivory will turn an Off White as where Old Ivory will Yellow with age..

  Also, if you take the grips off and put a little bleach on the reverse side, ivory will change colors. It won't hurt it though, though the light stain may be permanant.
