Johnny, Lanber is a Spanish firm and their importation into the USA has been spotty over the past several years. I've sold a few of their automatic shotguns and they were nice looking guns. There was an earlier post from a fellow whos friend just received an O/U Lanber of a lesser grade than yours and he was impressed enough with his friends shotgun to want to get one for himself.

I think that the renewed interest in Lanber is from the fact that they are being heavily marketed today by CDNN in Abiline, Texas. CDNN received a huge quantity of these guns and folks are at last getting to see what good quality they offer at a reasonable price. Just in case you were unaware, the Shotgun industry in Spain is very old and well established. Many serious collectors consider some of the better Spanish makes to be the equal of anything produced in Italy or England and at a lower price. I think you'll like your Lanber, most people do.

Shdytree, CDNN has a web site at www.cdnninvestments.com BUT they DO NOT list firearms on the site. I can give you a few Lanber O/U prices here if you wish: Model 82- 28" modified/full @$279.99, Model 85 same with auto ejectors and deluxe finish and walnut stock, 3" with choice of chokes @$349.99 and the Model 87 with fully engraved floral reciever, single selective trigger and interchangable chokes (5) $399.99 or $449.99 for the 3" mag which is also available with 30" barrels. The automatics run from $219.99 up to $250, depending on the features. CDNN says that satisfaction is guaranteed or return for a full refund within 3 days. I'll bet you won't return it! You can call them at 800-588-9500. I've delt with them for years and have NEVER been dis- satisfied with their service in any way...good folks all the way around.

    Hey rockjawjohhny,

I was wondering how things went with the purchase of your 2085? I have also been researching O/U's and I am looking to spend in the $500-$600 range. What can you tell me would you buy it again? I am looking at the 2087 thru cdnninvestments. It is that or a Verona LX501. I would appreciate the comments.
