Need opinions on Assault type Rifle's

Ok guys I want to buy another assault type rifle.I have Mini-14s an AR-15,SKS,and a Romanian AK-47.Im leading toward another AK anyone have any recomendations.Besides the Maadi I dont like the thumb hole in the stock..I just love to get out and shoot,I would appreciate any suggestions?

    Hey AB, I think I would put my money into a Colt AR15.. From what I have been seeing, the price keeps going up on them. Or maybe a Pre-Ban, M1A....

    WE as gun owners need to lose the term "Assault Rifle" That is one of those terms the media throws around in an attempt demonize anything that is not a bolt action rifle. Now, all of them will soon be referred to as Sniper Rifles.....Sorry for the rant, having a bad day....

    I would suggest another AR-15 in a different configuration than you currently have. If you have a 20" H-BAR, then get a 16" carbine.
    or vise-versa....Similar but different enough to be fun....JMHO...

    I saw a neat item at the gun show yesterday. It was a Carbon 15 shorty carbine. It had a stainless fluted short barrel with a flash suppressor on the end, and a short, nicely shaped stock. The kicker is that the stock is made to be pulled right off, allowing this carbine to be handled like a pistol or a folder. The stock then slips right back on when you need a shoulder-fired carbine. Very neat, indeed, and the asking price for this one was $700.

    I have one of the " CARBON 15 " Wish I did not have it! It was one of the gun's I saw and just had to have it :( Put your money with a PRE-Ban Colt.

    I would go with the Fn-Fal type rifles in .308 caliber. STG-58 rifles can be had for around 400.00 This is a battle rifle, but it sounds like you have the assault rifles covered pretty well. As for using the term assualt rifle, that is the technical term for these weapons in selective-fire form. I cant think of another term that decribes the class of light, high capacity, portable mid-powered weapons as well.

    Steyr AUG ... the plant is shut down and they've recently announced there will be no more made by them (Steyr) ... there are a couple companies that make licensed copies but none can be imported to the US ... If you thought they were expensive before ... just wait a few more years!

    If your not looking to spend that much ... a Tommy Gun is great fun!

    I agree with the 2 above guys.. get a 7.62 NATO. You don't currently have one and it would round out your collection nicely.
